Evan's rockin'
He'll be crawling soon. He's 6 months and getting on all fours and rockin. he's also mastered getting around with a very specific series of rolls.

The boys in general
Evan continues to be a fantastic baby. he's well tempered and really only fusses when there is a legitimate reason. he's such a joy! they love him at daycare and say he's the most pleasant baby in the room. that always makes me proud when i know he's not giving anyone any trouble.

Jason, in the last 2 weeks, has begun riding a big boy bike (with training wheels of course) at daycare. they have bike day every tuesday so we bring his bike and helmet to school. he really loves it and we're so happy beebop found this adorable little bike for him.

Evan's sleeping through the night!
Starting September 16th with almost no exceptions....Evan is now sleeping through the night! so, now that's it's been a fairly consistant 2 weeks, it's time to document it in the blog. Very happy!!!

I'm more than certain that the top two teeth will be joining the bottom two and so that is the primary reason we have a little waking up lately. after they come in, i'm sure he'll sleep "like a baby" again.

Jason's first class trip
Today, Jason's class went to the Ritz Theater. They saw a mother goose play. he enjoyed it a lot, but his favorite part of the day was that he got to ride on a school bus for the first time!
his other favorite part was "ritzy the fox" who is really listed on the program as "ritzy the wolf" but jason said miss pifer said it was a fox! oh well....miss pifer wins here!!!!

end of september and he's still not trained. wears pull ups and is about 50% there....

Evan's got his first teeth and his first cold!
As was expected, when the kids go to school, they will get their first dose of germs. Evan made it through the first week of half days, but this past week of full days, both he and jason got colds. jason, the first since being in school and evan, the first of his life.

we went to the shore friday night for the long Labor day weekend and evan was pretty darn miserable and kept me up all night. his cold cut our visit short and i came home early with evan and he did better home in familiar surroundings.

he did get his two bottom teeth. we noticed them on Sept 2, so we're gonna say they popped on or about the 31st or so. he did well, as we didn't even know they were coming in.

Jason's first day back at school and first night with NO BINKYS!!!
jason did GREAT last night and this morning. Last night without the binky's was flawless. he didn't cry AT ALL! he slept the whole night through and this morning, when i went in there to get him up for school, the first words out of his mouth were "i didn't cry mommy!!!" so so cute and i'm so proud of him.

then, to top it off, he went to school like a true big boy. he was excited to see his friends, hugged and kissed me a few times and sent me on my way. i told him to have a good day with his friends and to be a good boy and he blew me more kisses and yelled "I will mommy!!"

what a morning. good good stuff.

The binky fairy
we have been preparing jason for the big day for about 2 months now. when anyone ever asked him about turning 3, his robot answer was that this meant he had to give his binkys to the binky fairy and that she would give them to other babies that needed them.

as not to put a bad spin on a fantastic birthday, jason had one last night with his binky on his birthday night. this morning, i got a box with tissue paper and a piece of paper. jason gathered his binkys, kissed each one and put them in the box. we wrote a note to the fairy thanking her for letting him use the binkys. after the box was sealed, scott, jason and i walked out to the mail box together to say a final farewell to the binkys. jason did amazingly well. tonight however will be the real, true test. it could prove to be very tramautic without them. hopefully not. hopefully, all the preparing will make this go smoothly.....only time will tell!!!

Jason's 3rd birthday
today was jason's birthday. it's a saturday this year so the party could be on his actual birthday. it was a great success with the only downfall being that scott had to do half of the grilling in the pouring terrential rain. luckily, it didn't last too long.

the kids didn't care. they loved the rain. they played in the rain in the pool, and on the slip and slide. later, we had a pinata and the kids got all the props to make a sun visor with their name on it. cute stuff. scott made a b-bque feast of burgers, dogs, kabobs and ribs. everyone loved everything and stuffed themselves silly.

jason got some great presents: a firetruck set, lots of trucks and cars, dinosaur toys, books, clothes and a kiddie laptop computer.

we had all the aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents, and GG. jason's friend arianna came too. jason had fun with taylor, michael, arianna and jared!

evan was so good all day sometimes we forgot he was here. during the upwrapping of the gifts, evan sat in his exersaucer and was so quite, karen almost set an empty box on him! he was the best baby!!

Evan's first week of
This was a big week. Evan went to toddlers n tots 4 days this week for 1/2 days. they love him (of course) and he did fantastically (of course again!)
They have a brand new HUGE addition to TNT for all the baby rooms, so the room evan is in is about 10 times (no kidding) the size of the room jason was in when he was there. it's beautiful with thousands of exersausers, activity mats and bouncy seats. a crazy lady runs the joint, but she's doing something right, the place is beautiful.

jason went to the shore monday morning with my in-laws. they picked him up about 9am. He stayed with them till wednesday when i went down with evan to spend some time and pick him up. dad's doing the addition on the shore place too, so lots of interesting stuff for jason to see and he became buddies with the "workers" Mike and Ryan. (same guys that put our roof on earlier this year.)

when i talked to jason on the phone from the beach, both nights one of his first questions was how is evan doing. so sweet. that kid really loves his little brother....

on thursday, when evan was at school, jason and i went on a date. we went to discovery zone in cherry hill and had a blast. he really enjoyed himself and so did i. it was nice to just spend som QT with him and be able to give him my undivided without ANYTHING pulling me in another direction. after that, we went to have lunch at friendly's too. scott doesn't really like friendly's, so i'm succeding in making it mine and jason's spot together! the whole day, jason was awesome. well behaved, adorable and fun. it was such a great day!

so great, that on friday we went to IQ (Imagination quest) right down the street. not as extravagent, but still a good time. just an all around good week.
